During this tour you will experience contrasts between the medieval architecture of Old Tallinn, the contemporary buildings in the city centre, the summer manors of the 19 centuries in the Kadriorg park and the seaside village on the Viimsi peninsula.
At first you will drive from your hotel by the modern city centre to the Kadriorg park. Stroll in the park, look at the Kadriorg palace constructed on command of Peter the Great. Afterwards you will return to the bus which will take you further to the Song Festival Grounds, where important Estonian Song Festivals are held every five years. Continue your tour to Kose-Pirita district, where you will see a totally different type of architecture - private houses with their neat gardens. In Pirita area you will drive past the ruins of St.Birgitta`s Convent (travelling by) and the beautiful sailing harbour (travelling by).
Viimsi Parish is situated just 15km north of Tallinn 's city centre. It is both a nature-lovers' getaway and a worthy destination for history buffs. Visit the seaside Viimsi Open-Air Museum, built around a historic farm and one of Estonia 's oddest-looking restaurants, “Paat” (“Boat”). Here you will be warmed by a cup of coffee or tea and will taste a dessert.
